The Beginning –

Shri Narbheram Jetharam Mistry

It all began with one man.

Born into a humble middle-class family in a small village called Pasvadal, Gujarat, Shri Narbheram Jetharam Mistry always carried a dream—to build his own kingdom. With boundless passion, determination, and the unwavering support of his elder brother, he set out for the city of dreams, Bombay (now Mumbai), in 1952.

For five years, he worked tirelessly alongside his brother, Shri Mulchanddas Jetharam Mistry. Those early years shaped his vision, sharpened his craft, and lit the spark that would change the furniture world forever.

The Birth of Mistry & Company

In 1957, driven by his passion, vision, and willingness to take risks, Shri Narbheram founded Mistry & Company. A bold step, a daring dream, and the beginning of a legacy.

From the very start, his mission was clear—to design furniture that blended innovation, craftsmanship, and individuality. His dedication became the foundation on which generations would build.

A Legacy Continued

Carrying forward this flame, his son Shri. Vinodkumar Narbheram Mistry infused the company with modern innovation, fresh ideas, and an unshakable commitment to excellence. With his leadership, Mistry & Company grew into a single dynamic unit, creating bespoke, tailor-made furniture that soon became one of Mumbai’s most respected names in the industry.
